Roles & Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers and oversee logistics operations for shipments requiring intervention
  • Building and maintaining relationships with reliable carriers
  • Onboard truck carriers and customers onto the Truxweb SaaS platform
  • Negotiate rates, and support users to update platform with availability
  • Support users with initial transactions on the platform
  • Manage user accounts, transactions and billing through our custom-built Customer Service Portal (CSP)
  • Update shipment status in Truxweb’s CSP to trigger updates to users
  • Communicating with major customers throughout the duration of the order and communicating both positive and negative occurrences, finding solutions to ensure client satisfaction
  • Maintenance of personal shipment files in a timely manner with precision; deescalating problems when necessary
  • Working with the sales department to ensure clients’ needs are met and exceeded
  • Working with a variety of departments to ensure functioning operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of related experience in supply chain & logistics
  • At least 3 years’ experience working directly with truck transportation
  • Excellent Knowledge of brokering truckloads, negotiating rates, carrier development, scheduling pickups and deliveries, and tracking shipments
  • Knowledge of harmonized system (Canada & United States) and be familiar with bonded warehouse procedures and requirements
  • Excellent understanding of Canadian and US Hours of Service regulations
  • In depth understanding of safety and compliance in transportation
  • Strong conflict resolution skills
  • Creative and effective problem solving
  • Well-organized, enthusiastic, professional and a positive team member
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office programs, Slack, Hubspot (CRM)
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Familiarity with common carrier tariffs, freight classes, NMFCs, TMS systems and Load Boards is an asset
  • Experience in global supply chain is an asset
